I am 23 years old and have been going to concerts for about 5 years, but only 2 years ago did I actually get a camera to begin taking photos at concerts. In the time since I have been to over 100 concerts, and taken photos at over 50 shows. I chose the name "Ambros" based on the word ambrotype, a photographic process from the mid-1800s. From Wikipedia: "The ambrotype process (from Greek ambrotos, "immortal") is a photographic process invented in the mid-1850s by Frederick Scott Archer. The process creates a glass negative, which appears as a positive when placed against a black background.... Many ambrotypes were made by unknown photographers."

The ambrotype was a noted form which at points was more popularly used than the daguerrotype, one of the most famous formats of early photography. As it rests in relative obscurity, I thought it was rather appropriate for the nature of myself and my work. Despite the relative obscurity of my own work, I have been able to meet many musicians in my journey.
